श्रीमद्भगवद्गीता | Indian Mythological Stories
What is Bhagavad Gita (भगवद् गीता।)?
Lord Krishna imparted the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna as a guide to righteousness and morality. Arjuna was faced with a moral dilemma as he was unsure whether he should engage in battle against his cousins, the Kauravas. These events, leading up to the war, are documented in the Mahabharata, a vast epic comprised of 200,000 verses, written by the sage Vyasa. The Bhagavad Gita, a 700-verse text divided into 18 chapters, delves into various paths to attain spiritual enlightenment, including the path of action (Karma Yoga), devotion (Bhakti Yoga), and knowledge (Jnana Yoga).
Bhagavad Gita is a supreme guide of life. |
